Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is the owner and director of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss born in California was raised with an extremely wealthy family background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When her parents split in 1972 She began feeling in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As a 19-year-old she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers in 2013, she was president of Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five sisters took over the Lakers majority ownership following the passing of Buss' father in 2013. Each sister had an equal voice. Her duties were assumed as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
